Save the Last Dance

Save the Last DanceR&B is what this album is all about. Having watched the movie is not an issue since there are deserving songs on this record, which could make it on their own. The first song's a version of True Colors by Cindy Lauper, ghetto style. Titled as Shining Through the album's first track is also the flick's theme, performed by Fredro Starr and Jill Scott. It describes the interracial relationship between the movie's main characters.

R&B listeners will love songs from artists like Lucy Pearl's You, K-CI and Jojo's Sisqoish Crazy, Pink's male bashing in You Make Me Sick, Donnell Jones' stylish U Know What's Up and others. If you're a fan of rap then Ice Cube's You Can Do It will make you get up. Also, special appearances by Snoop Dogg, Q-Tip and The Notorious B.I.G. with other artists are also a plus.

The album is a good buy, and is ideal for relaxation and a little slow dancing on the side. Move It Slow by Kevon Edmonds and Montell Jordan's Get It On Tonite describes how this is done.
