Get Over It
Get Over It is a younger Someone Like You. It's a typical story: break ups followed by ex-girlfriend hangovers. Someone gets dumped and someone gets together. All the teenage love hoopla's here plus Sisqo, Vitamin C and cameos from Coolio and Carmen Electra. Sisqo's acting though was not as good as his dance steps. Of course no one expected him to be the next Will Smith. Martin Short's also hilarious in this one. He's a wise-ass play director dishing off sarcasm to his talents. The plant-humping dog was amusing too.
Though I find Kirsten Dunst as a stunning and talented actress, I'm tired of seeing her in usual high school roles. Her being Claudia on Interview With The Vampire is a perfect example of what she can really do. I think its about time that she had more serious roles. I'm fed up with Love Hewitts and Michelle Gellars hounding the movies, now let's see more acting and lesser cleavage.
In its entirety, the movie is worth a few smiles, and is nice like birds and trees. Its light though and you'll easily forget it once you're out of the theater's lavatory. If you want to rekindle high school, this one's for you. If you were geekish and hated prom night, I suggest otherwise.
